The Script es un grupo de pop rock de Dublín. Sus miembros son Danny O'Donogue (vocalista), Mark Sheehan (guitarrista) y Glen Power (batería). El grupo se formó como MyTown en 1996 logrando un éxito moderado en Reino Unido e Irlanda, pero en 2001 comenzaron con el proyecto The Script. Su primer disco con el nombre del grupo fue lanzado en 2008. Con su primer single "We cry" se metieron entre los 10 primeros puestos de las listas irlandesas, pero el éxito les llegó con su segundo single "The man who can't be moved" que consiguió el número dos en las listas irlandesas y británicas, elevando su disco al número uno de ventas. Este tema fue la canción principal del desfile anual de lencería de la firma "Victoria's Secret" presentado por Heidi Klum en 2009. Su segundo disco "For the first time" lanzado en 2010 consiguió ser número también en ambos países y su primer single del mismo nombre consiguió su primer número uno en las listas irlandesas. El año pasado lanzaron su tercer disco de estudio "#3", consiguiendo el número uno en las listas irlandesas y el dos en las británicas, pero su primer single "Hall of fame", a dúo con Will.I.Am. de Black Eyed Peas, se convirtió en un hito para el grupo alcanzando el número uno en las listas de éxitos en ambos países por primera vez en su carrera. Su música ha servido de banda sonora en varias series de televisión como 90210, Waterloo Road, Entre Fantasmas o The Vampire Diaries.
